Kalutara too, faces increasing Covid-19 risk
With Colombo continuing to report the highest daily cases of Covid-19 patients, government doctors warn the Kalutara district too, faces an increasing risk from the virus.
GMOA editor Dr. Haritha Aluthge urges health authorities to pay attention to this situation.
As many as 259 out of the 662 new cases reported yesterday (18) are from the Colombo district, said the National Centre for the Prevention of Covid-19.
Kalutara and Gampaha districts have had 164 and 79 fresh cases respectively.
Meanwhile, rapid antigen tests will be conducted today as well for persons leaving the western province, police say.
The tests will take place at Kochchikade on Colombo-Puttalam road, at Salawa on High Level road and at Nittambuwa on Kandy road.
Random RAT tests carried out so far number 451, with five returning positive.
