22nd Amendment Scheduled For Its First Reading; Decision To Be Approved By Leader Of The House
The 22nd Amendment to the Constitution is scheduled for its first reading in Parliament on July 26, 2024.
Deputy Secretary-General of Parliament, Chaminda Kularatne, says that the decision to present it to the parliament on the said date should be approved by the Leader of the House.
The amended bill, which was gazetted on the 18th, must be presented to the parliament for its first reading within seven days of gazetting.
