Cryptocurrency exchange centers within Colombo Port City
The Colombo Port City Economic Commission has informed the Committee on Public Finance that it granted permission to operate two cryptocurrency exchange centers within Colombo Port City.
Officials of the Commission informed the decision when the Committee on Public Finance convened recently, and the Committee on Public Finance recommended that the opinion of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka be sought in this regard.
The Committee on Public Finance also approved orders formulated under the Colombo Port City Economic Commission Act.
It was recommended that the Attorney General's opinion be submitted to the committee within four weeks, regarding reaching contracts with existing companies active within Colombo Port City.
