937 Covid patients identified from Colombo within a span of 09 days
A total of 937 coronavirus patients have been reported from Colombo within a span of 09 days.
The Colombo Municipal Council’s (CMC) Chief Medical Officer Dr. Ruwan Wijemuni said 337 patients were linked to the Peliyagoda coronavirus cluster.
Another 660 patients were detected following PCR tests conducted on nearly 4000 individuals identified as first contacts of the patients from the peliyagoda cluster, he said.
Dr. Wijeyamuni further refuted media reports claiming that 937 patients were detected from Colombo within a day.
