Sri Lankan Rupee hits Rs 200 against US$ again, New exchange rates

The Sri Lanka rupee depreciated today, with the selling rate of the US Dollar reaching the Rs. 200 mark, the Central Bank of Sri Lanka reported.

The Bank said the buying rate of the US Dollar was Rs. 195.28 as per the currency exchange rate for the day.

As a result, the Central Bank of Sri Lanka announced the selling rate of the US Dollar as Rs. 201.28.

However, the selling rate of the US Dollar for export purposes was at Rs. 202.14.

The People’s Bank sold the US Dollar at Rs. 205.98, while the National Development Bank sold the US Dollar at 200.50, Sampath Bank at Rs. 201.00, and the Commercial Bank at Rs. 201.50.

The selling rate of the US Dollar last increased to Rs. 200 on the 8th and 9th of April 2020. (NewsWire)
