Divyanka Tripathi Looks Back at Her Career: 'In the Beginning Phase I Felt Almost Tortured'

Divyanka Tripathi is one of the most popular actresses on television today. She has been part of successful daily soaps like Banoo Main Teri Dulhan and Ye Hai Mohabbatein. The actress just did a short stint as a Crime Patrol Satark host as well. Divyanka also enjoys immense following on social media.

But her beginning, like many others, wasn’t a smooth journey. She recalled feeling “almost tortured” in the beginning of her career but said that the experience shaped her.

Looking back at her career so far, Divyanka told Times Now Digital, “There have been ups and downs. There was the beginning phase when I was like almost tortured (laughs). But when I think of it today, I am thankful. Every bit of pressure that I got, every bit of frustration that I went through, has shaped me up today. Only when you will embrace your past experience, you will feel powerful. You feel that you deserve to be in the place where you are today.”

Divyanka revealed that now she is looking for projects which are different from the run-of-the-mill daily soaps. “After doing six years of Yeh Hai Mohabbatein and a few months of Crime Patrol Satark, which was a small stint, I used to get up especially because I wanted to stay away from daily soap scenario. After six years, I wanted to do something differen. Daily soap bhi kuch hatke mila, I will definitely do it,” the actress said.
