Myanmar requests for Police officers who fled to India
It is reported that a number of Myanmar police officers have fled to India across the border in defiance of the orders of the military junta.
Their families have also arrived, and Myanmar authorities have called on India to return the fugitives.
The Myanmar military, which overthrew the democratic government on February 1 and seized power, was widely criticized internationally for its military crackdown on civilians.
At least 55 civilians have been killed and more than 1,700 arrested in Myanmar security forces' firing
