Sujeewa quits politics: Reveals future plans
Former United National Party (UNP) Colombo District MP Sujeewa Senasingeh has decided to quit politics.
Senasinghe was instrumental in forming the Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) and is currently the Party’s Deputy- Secretary.
He contested the August 05th General Elections from the SJB in the Colombo District, but failed to secure a seat in Parliament due to a lack of essential votes.
Senasinghe told Newswire that he does not intend to continue with politics in the future and hopes to focus on his business.
He added that he will commence his PHD from January next year which is another primary reason for his decision.
