Join the progressive march towards economic emancipation sans any discriminative mentalities. The time is ripe for us to leave and forget political differences and start marching forward in order to keep abreast with the advancing world.

This is the essence of President Gotabaya Rajapaksa's Policy Statement “Vistas of Prosperity and Splendour,” emphasized Solar, Wind, Grid Power Generation Projects Development State Minister Duminda Dissanayake.

The State Minister said so at the commencement of the reconstruction and carpeting of the Thambuththegama Railway Station Road is estimated to cost Rs.35 million. This project is implemented under the programme to carpet 100,000 kilometres of roads in the country.

"The President has initiated the 100,000 road development scheme simultaneously with the programme to provide 100,000 jobs to youths from low income group families with the aim of strengthening the livelihood of such families. Most of the country's post-independent governments had neglected overall development. Poverty alleviation measures initiated from time to time in the country had failed to reach fruition due to corruption, and political hatred," Dissanayake said. He appealed to the public to contribute to the rising development awakening in the country without any divisions for the progress of the country and the people.
