Economic growth needs to take place while protecting all sectors
President Gotabaya Rajapaksa stated that the economic growth of the country should take place in a manner that protects all sections of society
That was during a discussion held with a group of private entrepreneurs at the Presidential Secretariat yesterday (10) afternoon.
Although everything is easy to import and sell, the President has emphasized that a strong economy cannot be built if we do so. The President pointed out that the contribution of the private sector and new approaches are very important for that.
The President said that the main reason for holding this discussion was to reactivate the economy which was hampered due to the spread of COVID-19 pandemic and to achieve long term economic development.
The President has also promised to study the problems faced by entrepreneurs and provide solutions.
