Kalutara, Beruwala PHIs withdraw from duties
All Public Health Inspectors (PHI) attached to the Kalutara and Beruwala Medical Officer of Health (MOH) divisions have withdrawn from duties.
The trade union action has been sparked in objection to the re-assignment of a doctor to the Beruwala MOH Division who previously had been transferred.
This has also affected the PCR testing carried out in the Kalutara and Beruwala MOH divisions, according to Ada Derana correspondent.
