Steps taken to formulate a national policy on pre-school education
A special discussion regarding the formulation of a national policy on pre-school education has been held at the University Grants Commission under the patronage of the Minister of Education, Prof. G.L. Peiris.
The Ministry of Education stated that it has decided to appoint a nine-member committee to study the draft prepared on the advice of experts in the field of primary education and to make a final decision following the amendments.
Prof. Venerable. Medagoda Abhayatissa Thera has been appointed as the Chairperson of the Committee.
