WP curfew lifted - Several areas in 5 districts further isolated இன்று அதிகாலை 5 மணி முதல் ஊரடங்கு உத்தரவு நீக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது...!

Quarantine curfew currently in place in all areas including the western province was lifted at 5.00 AM today. However, the government has decided to isolate 25 Police areas owing to the current situation in five districts.

The following areas have been isolated. 

Colombo District - Mattakkuliya, Modera, Bloemandhal, Kotahena, Grandpass, Foreshore, Dam Street, Maligawatte, Dematagoda, Wellampitiya, Borella and Keselwatte police areas.

Gampaha District -Wattala, Peliyagoda, Kadawatha, Ragama, Negombo, Pamunugama, Ja-ela and Sapugaskanda police areas.

Kalutara District - Horana and Ingiriya police areas in the Kalutara district and Wakeda - West Grama Niladhari division.

Kurunegala District - Kurunegala municipality and Kuliyapitya police area 

Kegalle District - Mawanella and Ruwanwella police areas.

Apartment complexes - NHS Flats in Maligawatte, SirisandaUyana in Dematagoda, RanminiSevana in Modera, MihijayaSevana and Methsanda Sevana.

Deputy Health services director general specialist Dr. Sushi Perera said that the government will carry out a programme to provide essential goods for the residents of these areas.

The public is not allowed to enter or leave the isolated areas, and those who are employed or have any other work in those areas are not allowed to come out, especially in isolated areas, which are reported to be high-risk areas. Accordingly, if anyone comes out from those areas, they may be the ones bringing virus to those institutions, so all institutions are requested to refrain from calling workers in those areas.

Vehicles must continue to drive through these isolated areas, without stopping for passengers to get down or to pick up, and parking is prohibited, and these rules also apply to all public transportation

People in these areas who are being treated for ailments such as pregnancy and heart disease can go to the nearest hospital without obtaining a permit for emergency treatment and others are not allowed to leave or enter an isolated area for any other reason.
