Rs 5000 to be granted for low –income families in curfew imposed Western Province

The Presidential Task Force on Economic Revitalization and Cost of Living has decided to distribute Rs 5000 to low –income families affected due to the quarantine curfew imposed in the Western Province.

A quarantine curfew is enforced in the Western Province, including Colombo, Gampaha, and Kalutara districts, as a result of the second wave of the coronavirus.

The Task Force has also decided to provide essential goods packs worth Rs. 10,000 to first contacts of coronavirus patients who have been quarantined at their residences in the Western Province.

Head of the Presidential Task Force on Economic Revitalization and Cost of Living Basil Rajapaksa has instructed the District Secretaries to implement the distribution of cash and essential goods packs.
