Voters permitted to bring their own pen to mark ballot paper

The National Elections Commission said voters will be permitted to bring their own pen to mark the ballot paper at next week’s General Election.

A statement signed by the Chairman of the National Elections Commission noted the pen should only be either a blue or black ball point pen.

Further, such pens cannot contain any symbol, color or logo which promotes a candidate or party.

The National Elections Commission said if a voter is not in the possession of a pen, a disinfected pen will be provided at the polling station.
